The Lego Movie is a 2014 American computer animated family comedy film directed and co-written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, distributed by Warner Bros. he Monkey King is a 2014 Hong Kong-Chinese fantasy film directed by Cheang Pou-soi and starring Donnie Yen as the titular protagonist. Yen also serves as the film’s action director. Production began in Beijing on 18 October 2010 and was filmed in 3D.The plot is based on an episode of Journey to the West, a Chinese literary classic written in the Ming Dynasty by Wu Cheng’en. It was released on 31 January 2014.


The original poster released had a release date of February 2012, but it was postponed. Later it was announced that it would be released on 7 July 2012,[ on 4 July 2013,[ and finally on 31 January 2014.

RoboCop is a 2014 American science fiction action film directed by José Padilha. It is a remake of the 1987 film of the same name and stars Joel Kinnaman in the title role, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson.Screen Gems first announced a remake in 2005, but it was halted one year later. Darren Aronofsky and David Self were originally assigned to direct and write the film, respectively, for a tentative 2010 release. The film was delayed numerous times, and Padilha signed on in 2011.


In March 2012, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (successor company to Orion Pictures, the studio that released the original film) announced an August 2013 release, but that was then changed to February 2014. The principal characters were cast from March to July 2012. Principal photography began in September 2012 in Toronto and Vancouver in Canada,[6] with additional locations in Hamilton and Detroit in the United States.


The film premiered in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan on January 30, 2014. It was released in the United Kingdom on February 7, 2014 and was released in the United States & Indonesia same date on February 12, 2014.

4. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit


Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is a 2014 American action thriller film, directed by and co-starring Kenneth Branagh. Chris Pine along with Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley, star in leading roles. The film features the fictional Jack Ryan character created by author Tom Clancy. It is the fifth film in the Jack Ryan series which is presented as a reboot that departs from the previous installments. Unlike its predecessors, it is not an adaptation of a particular Clancy novel, but rather an original story. Pine stars in the title role, becoming the fourth actor to play Ryan, following Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck.


The film was a co-production between the motion picture studios of Skydance Productions, di Bonaventura Productions, Mace Neufeld Productions, Buckaroo Entertainment, Etalon Film and Translux. Theatrically, it was commercially distributed by Paramount Pictures and was released on January 17, 2014. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit explores violence, financial corruption and espionage.


On February 4, 2014, the original motion picture soundtrack was released by the Varèse Sarabande music label in CD format. The soundtrack was composed and orchestrated by musician Patrick Doyle. As of February 2014, the film has grossed over $100 million at the box office easily recouping its budget costs. Preceding its initial screening in cinemas, the film was generally met with mixed critical reviews and has not been nominated for any accolades in relation to its acting or production merits. The film is dedicated to Clancy, who died on October 1, 2013.
