The Nokia Asha 501 is the first in a new range of smartphones Asha that pushes further the limits of the design of smartphone low price, quality and development of an innovative user interface. The Nokia Asha 501 is the first mobile to use as the new operating system software platform Asha, for the segments of the entry-level Nokia smartphones.Smartphone consists of only two parts: a durable and removable housing and screen scratch resistant glass, incorporating a three-inch touch screen and a simple “return” button. The Nokia Asha 501 is a (non-3G) dual-band device with a QVGA TFT capacitive touch screen of 3 inches, a flash memory of 128 MB, with an additional 4GB memory (card provided in the box), expandable up to 32 GB and a 3.2 megapixel camera. As for embedded software, note that this phone is equipped with preloaded Nokia Xpress browser that compresses Internet data up to 90%.
